Boroondara is home to a diverse range of successful businesses run by women. The Business Boroondara Women's Network encourages women owners and operators of small businesses - as well as those looking at the opportunity to start their own business - to get together and improve their business skills and hear from other women who have already established successful businesses.

The Business Boroondara Women’s Network began in 2001 through a joint initiative between Council's Economic Development Department and Swinburne TAFE's Business Enterprise Centre,to provide skills training and networking for women owners and managers of small businesses in the City of Boroondara.
